Back on the Shelf

 April 17th Poem

I don't know who wants to hear my story

I'm not that interesting

Mediocre

And obsessed over the strangest things.

Tear up

When I should be smiling

My knees buckle

When I should just speak.

But maybe I can revisit

Years,

Decades;

Keep my life as a library

And when I don't want to look at myself anymore

I'll dust off my jacket

And slide my story back on the shelf.
